Fraiser I get. But why not play Hannigan?

Re: NLDS Game 4 - Reds vs Giants 10/10/12
I'm pleasantly surprised with Frazier in the lineup. Rather shocked that Navarro is in there. The only thing I know is Dusty must want as many leftys as possible in the lineup or Hanigan and Leake just don't get along with each other. :)

Re: NLDS Game 4 - Reds vs Giants 10/10/12
I've never been this nervous for a game. This is unreal.
-
Re: NLDS Game 4 - Reds vs Giants 10/10/12
Dusty said he's treating it like a day-game-after-night-game scenario, thus Frazier and Navarro. Navarro does have higher slugging (2 HRs) this year against LHP than RHP.
Yeah, I'm nervous too. I noticed at the game last night though that I wasn't nearly as nervous being there in person as I am watching on TV.

Need your best defense behind Leake. So I'm not a huge fan of this lineup.

You can criticize the use of Frazier at third base with a ground ball pitcher going, true.
On the other hand, from a power perspective, Frazier and Navarro are more likely to hit a long ball than Rolen or Hanigan right now.

Re: NLDS Game 4 - Reds vs Giants 10/10/12
Scott Rolen had 10 errors in 87 games this year in the regular season. He has 2 in 3 postseason games. He really doesn't do anything well at this point in his career.
-
Re: NLDS Game 4 - Reds vs Giants 10/10/12
Perhaps the little bit of juggling will provide the heroes for the clinching game. I see putting our best offensive lineup out there, except for Stubbs over Heisey. Dusty figuring the need for runs is more important than the couple of ground balls hit to third. When it gets late, you can bring in Rolen and hope he doesn't get in no man's land on a short hop again.

Yea, because number of errors is the sole measure of defense.

Re: NLDS Game 4 - Reds vs Giants 10/10/12
Reds lineup vs. Zito: 31 for 97 (.320)
Giants lineup vs Leake: 28 for 58 (.483)

Not sure how you define "well", but Rolen was a key contributor to the Reds winning the division this year. Despite a horrendous starting and being injured, he ended up being a league average 3B during the time he played

Re: NLDS Game 4 - Reds vs Giants 10/10/12
The real crime in all of this is now I can't spend the whole game thread telling you all about my super realistic crush on a movie star who I've totally got a shot with.
Sigh...

So of course it will probably end up being a low scoring game.

I checked Zito versus our guys and Stubbs has done quite well against Zito. I didn't jot down the entire line, but Stubbs has batted .385 against him in his career. Others? Phillips .421, Bruce .357, Frazier .600. I envision Leake knocking a home run today.
BTW, I'll be in Section 405 again today.

If you're coming from the north, have fun with traffic. We were backed up starting at Exit 17 all the way until Exit 5 - not because of a wreck, gridlock, or anything that would warrant it. Everybody and their brother is so scared of the lane separation at mile marker 5 that they cut across the middle lane like crazy just to avoid it. A 12 mile backup over something that stupid - it was unreal.

I'm home for this one, I'm just torn on whether or not to talk about said gorgeous lady or not. It worked well in Game 2, last night not so much. What's a guy to do??

I usually get a look at southbound I-75 when I'm at Mitchell & Spring Grove and then take Spring Grove if needed (or go up through Clifton). Thanks for the heads up.

I'm taking a risk here, but I'd feel guilty if I didn't share this.

When you google image that girl she looks like whatever she wants to, rarely looks the same.
Hey, she's like a Mike Leake awesome start!
-
Re: NLDS Game 4 - Reds vs Giants 10/10/12
I would prefer Hannigan starting, but Dioneer has pop. I think Rolen could use the day, just in case there is a game 5 tomorrow, and Frazier is no slouch himself.
My prediction- Reds win 7-6 in walk off fashion off the bat of pinch hitter Miguel Cairo. (sidenote if that happens exactly as called, I deserve this post to be stickied and placed in the archives after everyone has had the opportunity to gawk at my prediction prowess)

This is great baseball guys...
Seeing if the "odd-man out" Leake can step up to the proverbial plate and become a post-season hero. Storylines like that are what makes this a great game...it would be boring if stuff like this didn't pop up from time to time. Can't wait for it to start. :beerme:

Anyone have any Xanax I can borrow? Nervous as hell. Ha. It's good nerves though! (I hope.)

Re: NLDS Game 4 - Reds vs Giants 10/10/12
Dioner has been catching Leake's games lately so him being in the lineup doesn't surprise me too much. Dude has been clutch quite a few times in September too and hopefully they get a nice lead so Mike can relax and just pitch a solid game. Hoping this one ends up being a huge WIN for our guys. GO REDS!!! :D

Re: NLDS Game 4 - Reds vs Giants 10/10/12
I like the changes in the lineup. Nice mixup for Game 4 and you give Hanigan (and Rolen) a day of rest in case there is a Game 5 (I sure hope not).
-
Re: NLDS Game 4 - Reds vs Giants 10/10/12
I just wish I were more confident in Leake. Hope Dusty has a very short leash and isn't afraid to go to Simon, LeCure, and Hoover quickly if needed.

I should have posted on the game thread from the ball park last night, just for luck. I posted in game 1 and game 2's threads though. ;)
