Re: 6/19/12 - Reds at Indians
After six innings, Tomlin only at 74 pitches.... His pitch count is in better shape than Leake's by far. Gonna be the bullpen soon for the Redlegs.
Re: 6/19/12 - Reds at Indians
Tomlin's ERA dropping. Now at 5.17. Looks like he will be around awhile with that pitch count.

I'll say this, he's got a very pretty 12-6 breaking ball.
Re: 6/19/12 - Reds at Indians
Santana's stance is almost an exact duplicate of Frazier's from the left side. Odd stance.
Re: 6/19/12 - Reds at Indians
Leake gets a K to start the sixth. Now Brantley is up.
Re: 6/19/12 - Reds at Indians
Leake falls behind but gets a ground out to Phillps on a nice play.
Re: 6/19/12 - Reds at Indians
Back to the box. Nice play by Leake. 8 straight Indians down by Leake.
Re: 6/19/12 - Reds at Indians
Another 1-2-3 inning for Leake.
1-1 after 6.
Re: 6/19/12 - Reds at Indians
Leake has retired nine in a row. Nice. Now let's score some runs.
Re: 6/19/12 - Reds at Indians
1-2-3 again for Leake. It's a shame it took him so long to settle in. Now that he's pitching well, he's basically done. Over 100 now. He doesn't go over that very often...arbitrary or not.

Guessing Dusty will let Leake start the seventh. Not sure it's the right decision, but I expect it.

Maybe. He tends to baby young arms from what I've seen. Despite what Cubs' fans will spew forth.

I'd guess it would be up to Leake, who has asked out of many games at this point. He seems to know his limits, and I expect the decision would be his.

Nobody warming apparently. So Leake will probably start the next inning. Arredondo, Marshall, Aroldis, all rested. So a short leash hopefully.
Single for BP.
Re: 6/19/12 - Reds at Indians
Is it time for Bruce's hot streak yet?
