Redzone Minor League Prospect Ranking #36 & 37
Tanner Rahier and Ryan LaMarre made spots 34 and 35. On to the 2nd half of the thirties.
Re: Redzone Minor League Prospect Ranking #36 & 37
I went Carlton Daal and Cory Thompson. Straight upside SS. The Reds are rumored to be high on Daal, who I'm guessing will be the SS at Dayton, and Thompson flashed some potential right out of the draft.

Just a heads up, Tanner Robles who is listed in the poll, retired back in May.

Well he should be rested and ready then.

Re: Redzone Minor League Prospect Ranking #36 & 37
Rachal over HRod, Soto, Sal Romano and Thompson?

20 years old
Carlos Contreras at Dayton, 2012: 3.20 / 40 g / 50.2 innings / 29 H / 19W / 51 K / .158 avg.
21 years old (about a year and a half older than Chacin)

Carlos Contreras tops out at 98 MPH. Chacin tops out around 92.
Carlos Contreras sits 92-95 as a starter. Chacin sits 88-90.

Wasn't suggesting they were equals, just that maybe if one is #12 (and I've got Contreras even higher than that on my list), the other ought to be getting votes down around 37.

There are still a number of kids who have talent left. Chacin, Rachal, Washington, Daal, Thompson....most at this point are either close like HRod, but seen as utility guys now, or at a low level with limited time. If a few of these low level guys break out this summer the Reds system is going to be a lot more highly ranked. Point is I could accept any of them getting voted on the list at this point.

I will. Looking up a player on baseball ref in the upper right hand it will tell the status - active, restricted (usually means retired), released, inactive etc. I just missed it with Robles. He is listed as restricted which I should have seen.

That was a quote from the movie Major League.
"This guy's dead."
"CROSS him off, then."

Certainly. I am a Chacin fan. I just wanted to get the information out there for those voting who may not be familiar enough with both guys.
