George Foster was inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame before the game and gave a speech only slightly shorter than Barry Larkin's.
The game was simply "Jimmy being Jimmy" as Mr. Haynes put the game out of reach early.

I remember this game. I took my then-5 yr. old son to this game at Riverfront and sat in the yellow seats. For the most part an unremarkable game but I do remember the ending.
The Reds had a 3-2 lead going into the top of the 9th with Rob Dibble pitching. With 2 outs, Dante Bichette hit a 2 run HR off Dibble to take a 4-3 lead. The Reds tied in the bottom of the 9th and then won it in the 10th.
'93 was the year the wheels fell off Dibble and IIRC, it started around the time of this game.

I remember this. A lot of excitement came with Senior coming back to the team - the Reds were having a bit of a Big Red Machine reunion with him, Concepcion, Rose managing and I am pretty sure Perez as a coach.
Now, if only he had been able to bring his kid along with him from the start...
