Cue the jokes about where Tim will be watching this season's NFL games from...
Way to screw up a young QB Cleveland :). How not to develop a QB written by the Cleveland Browns.
I still believe he could have been a good QB but the Browns never realized that a qb can't throw from his backside.
That's the real thing there, without an O-Line doesn't matter how much talent a QB has it's tough for him to excel when he's fighting for his life.
2 shoulder surgeries make it tough for a QB to come back to form.
I think it depends on the quarterback personally. Vince Young and Michael Vick may have more success with a shabby offensive line, while Peyton Manning would have a career similar to Tim Couch if he had the Browns O-Line while Couch was there.
Couch really was doomed from the get-go. He was going to an expansion franchise as a rookie, which generally does not work well. Not to mention he didn't have that great of a field awareness compared to a Peyton Manning or Tom Brady.
Let's not overlook the fact that he wasn't very good. Apparently still isn't.
arm is shot.....was never that good in the first place
A product of the Hal Mumme system
Now that's a stinker! http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/fart001.gif
Well, at least there's some good news in the Tim Couch story--he's not playing for the Browns this year. :ughmamoru
Everyone knows about Mike Vick's situation.
Falcons 3rd string QB DJ Shockley ripped his ACL over the weekend and is done for the year.
That leaves...Joey Harrington, followed by Casey Bramlett and Chris Redman.
Anyone who has ever played QB at any level should be contacting the Falcons today.
Even Tim Couch.
