Guess the Attendance Part II
The Reds just finished another successful road trip going 3-2 and the pitchers are throwing shutouts at a pace people have never seen around these parts for over a generation. Arroyo is pitching tonight and the Reds are over .500.
However, the skies are overcast and it's been raining today. It's relatively warm out but the kids still haven't finished school yet. Milwaukee's never been a big draw, it's a weeknight and there aren't any giveaways.
So what do you think GAB will look like tonight? Lots of empty seats like the homestand against HOU or will they come out and support the team?
Re: Guess the Attendance Part II
I'm guessing 12k, give or take a few hundred. Tomorrow will be a lousy crowd too, most likely.
I expect the weekend to draw pretty well, especially Saturday with Votto Bobblehead night.

Re: Guess the Attendance Part II
I think just over 15,000. It is still a school night. The weather is not the best with a chance of rain which could cause delays. I do agree that the weekend will draw well against the Cardinals and the first bobblehead night of the year.
Re: Guess the Attendance Part II
Since so much depends on walk-ups and walk-ups are so weather-dependent I wouldn't guess without knowing what it's like there at about 5:30 p.m. or so. If it's nice around that time and the rain seems pretty cleared out, I'll guess 22,000. If not, 15,000.
Re: Guess the Attendance Part II
The weather is bad, if they play, I think less than 10,000 show up. However, if they split or sweep the Brewers, GABP will be rockin' this weekend when the Cards are in town.
Re: Guess the Attendance Part II
My official guess is 14,839. The cloudy skies will keep some people inside.
Re: Guess the Attendance Part II
Yep, I forgot to factor in the weather when I made my vote. I'll change it and say 17,642...

A lot of people think that the players do enough spitting as it is. ;)

Fixed it ;)

What's the season ticket base this year?
Crowds don't come out for pitching. 12K if they're lucky.

Nope, they come out for winners... :)

From what we saw last week, under 10K. I'm afraid it'll be a repeat of the HOU series since it's wet outside - keeps away the walk-ups - and there are no giveaways.

If this pitching keeps up and the Reds keep winning, the crowds will show up. But not tonight, the weather is bad and it's a school night.
Re: Guess the Attendance Part II
I'll guess around 13,000.
I expect big crowds this weekend vs the Cardinals. I'll be there on Saturday and Sunday.
