West Coast Swing, 2012 EDITION
Here we are.
Heading into the All-Star break our Cincinnati Reds have to undergo what is traditionally the toughest stretch of the schedule. For whatever reasons there maybe.
The Reds have four against San Francisco, Three against LA and then four more against San Diego.
Our Redlegs already put the Giants away at home earlier in the season, beating them three games to one (should have been a sweep). However, the Giants were not playing great (neither were the Reds) and most of the games were close.
How do you see the Reds doing in their sprint to the All-Star Break?
Re: West Coast Swing, 2012 EDITION
You didn't put zero as an option.
Re: West Coast Swing, 2012 EDITION
I'll take a 5-6 road trip, so anything on top of that is gravy.
I think they split with SF, take 1 in LA, and take 3 of 4 in San Diego for a 6-5 trip.
Re: West Coast Swing, 2012 EDITION
I want 9-10 from those SOB's out there, but will settle for 7-8. Heck I'll give the Pads 3 if I can get 6 from the Giants and Dodgers. I want the Reds to show up and kick some azz out there.

10 has a zero on it.

Wear some garlic around your neck and locate fellow Reds fans for safety.
Nice stadium, if not quite overrated IMO.
It may be up to you to defend Dusty's honor, if you choose to accept the calling.
Do not use Barry Bonds name in vein.
21st Amendment Brewery is nearby and good.

9-2
Bruce is just ready to bust out. He's been scorching the ball lately with little to show for it.
Re: West Coast Swing, 2012 EDITION
Not to quibble, but why would our wins be stolen?

Teams steal wins when playing away. It's an expression that some sports junkies use.
Re: West Coast Swing, 2012 EDITION
I think if they can come up even 5 wins this would not be a bad trip. West Coast trips are always challenging. Hopefully they can avoid the painful series going in the All Star Break they have had the last few years.
A couple of years ago they had a 4 game sweep at Philadelphia with 4 close losses before the break.
Then last year I think they played Milwaukee and lost 3 of 4 with Cordero blowing a couple of save opportunities.
So hopefully this year they can go into the break with a more positive ending to the first half.

Coolness.
Re: West Coast Swing, 2012 EDITION
I think we find a way to take two of four from the Giants, take two of three from the slumping Dodgers, and take three of four from the Paders. 7-4 road trip. BOOM! POW! BAM!

Enjoy! Unfortunately I'm not making it tonight, but currently looking across the bay at SF....perfect blue skies and 80 degrees, unreal for June!
