Re: 6/20/13 - Redlegs vs. Peglegs
I hate when the Reds run themselves out of innings. Cumpton allowed three base runners and went 3-2 on two other batters but the caught stealing really bailed him out.
1-0 Reds after one inning.

To be fair, Brandon's single wouldn't have brought Votto home anyway. The inning would have ended with 2 men left on instead of one.
Edit: I'm working while watching the game. That's my excuse for not taking into consideration that there would have been another batter in the inning.
Re: 6/20/13 - Redlegs vs. Peglegs
Do we know the Votto CS was on Baker?
Maybe Votto's head isn't in the game.
Regardless, given the whole knee thing, I'd have Votto on permanent red light.
Re: 6/20/13 - Redlegs vs. Peglegs
4 K's for Bailey now as Sanchez K's looking to begin the second inning.

That is not necessarily true. Runner on base with 1 out is different than no runners on base with 2 outs. changes the pitcher's approach.

I don't know, his base-stealing attempts do give us the chance to see the most awkward slide in baseball.
Re: 6/20/13 - Redlegs vs. Peglegs
Several posters have stated that the Reds have looked flat lately. Maybe Dusty has noticed the same thing and is trying to be more aggressive on the base paths to get the team going.
Re: 6/20/13 - Redlegs vs. Peglegs
Walker pops out to Cozart. Two outs.

IMO Votto went on his own as a little comeback to the brushback pitch. That goes on all the time. When someone gets thrown at they try to steal 2nd.
Re: 6/20/13 - Redlegs vs. Peglegs
Bob C. in the booth, btw.
Re: 6/20/13 - Redlegs vs. Peglegs
Error on Votto. His and Cozart's defense lately has been awful.

"Awful" is a bit of an exaggeration, don't you think?
And that wasn't ruled an error

Pizza seems imminent after two.
Re: 6/20/13 - Redlegs vs. Peglegs
Cumpton K's, five K's in 2 IP for Bailey. Would have been nice to have him leading off the third though.

No, not at all. Both are normally very good defenders, but both have been really bad lately, especially Cozart.
