Re: 7/20/12 - Reds vs Brewers
That was an awesome play by Rolen.
Re: 7/20/12 - Reds vs Brewers
Pirates just tied the game. 3-3
Re: 7/20/12 - Reds vs Brewers
Down to the seventh spot in the order. Pitcher looming. Let's see if the Reds can reward Rolen's hustle by finding a way to get him home.
Re: 7/20/12 - Reds vs Brewers
Frazier grounds out to 3rd so Rolen can't advance
Re: 7/20/12 - Reds vs Brewers
Look at Rolen. More hustle to 3rd on a wild pitch.
Re: 7/20/12 - Reds vs Brewers
Rolen gets to third on his own.
Re: 7/20/12 - Reds vs Brewers
Unproductive out by Frazier. Needs to hit that ball to right and move Rolen over, as Chris is correctly stating in the TV booth.
Reds are bailed out, though, on a short wild pitch with Rolen moving to third.
Re: 7/20/12 - Reds vs Brewers
I get the announcers mixed up, Is Brantley the one that is complaining about Frazier's AB?

Brantley must be on radio.
Kelch and Welsh on RV. Chris did the complaining on TV.

It is Chris Welsh on TV

Re: 7/20/12 - Reds vs Brewers
Double play Rolen tries to go home on a fly out to left and is thrown out at home.
Re: 7/20/12 - Reds vs Brewers
I got the feeling that at bat that Mes didn't want the walk. The last two pitches were probably ball four.
With pitcher up next (and Stubbs after), man on third, Mes wanted to hit the sacrifice fly, and just came up a few feet short.
I really think that's what happened there, and frankly I give Mes credit for it. We all like walks but in that spot if you can make contact, I like going for the sac fly.

Right, he needs to stop swinging hard and instead try to poke something more polite to the correct side of the infield. Welsh's lecture: silly.
Sorry, can't fault Todd for taking a hack on a hitter's count.

With you on this one.
