Re: Prospect #31 runoff vote
I will take Robert Manuel
Re: Prospect #31 runoff vote
It's definitely Manuel for me. A good reliever is much more valuable than a bench outfielder, and Manuel's numbers were lights out, even though he doesn't project to be a lights-out pitcher.
Re: Prospect #31 runoff vote
i'll go with manuel. AA stats- 77.0 ip, gave up 47 hits. 1.40 era. 15 bb, 92 strikeouts.
i know that's only AA stats but, you can't ignore them.
Re: Prospect #31 runoff vote
Not that this sums up the entire argument, but . . . Manuel was AA relief pitcher of the year, which begs the question: What numbers would Henry have had to put up to be AA outfielder of the year?

Also begs the question: How is it that Manuel is still on the board at 31?
Re: Prospect #31 runoff vote
Robert Manuel has this pretty much wrapped up so I'll go ahead and start the next poll.
Re: Prospect #31 runoff vote
Shouldn't the guy that loses the runoff (in this case Henry) automatically be #32?

This has been suggested a number of times, but in a few instances, the runoff loser wasn't voted into the next slot, so the current process seems to better represent the rankings. Besides, it's not like we're short on time before the season starts.

No, because it's no guarantee that the 35 people who voted for Manuel will vote for Henry in the next poll.
Re: Prospect #31 runoff vote
I'm one of the Manuel votes. I went with Herrera.
Edit.... Well I meant to vote for Herrera, but clicked on Henry.. (never voye when you first get out of bed)
