Re: 6/11/13 Reds @ Cubs ("Cingrani is Back" edition)
Cingrani with the bunt single to lead off the third. :D
Re: 6/11/13 Reds @ Cubs ("Cingrani is Back" edition)
How about that, sports fans!

And Choo with a sacrifice bunt to get Cingrani to third.
Re: 6/11/13 Reds @ Cubs ("Cingrani is Back" edition)
You bunt Choo to get to Cozart???
Re: 6/11/13 Reds @ Cubs ("Cingrani is Back" edition)
Don't swing another bat....bunt, bunt, bunt Garza to the showers.

Re: 6/11/13 Reds @ Cubs ("Cingrani is Back" edition)
Why bunt there? I hate it.
Re: 6/11/13 Reds @ Cubs ("Cingrani is Back" edition)
I hate Choo bunting there. Playing for one run against the Cubs is a sin against God and man.
Re: 6/11/13 Reds @ Cubs ("Cingrani is Back" edition)
I don't follow the strategy to have Choo bunt. How does that make any sense with Cozart in the on deck circle?

Would it be wrong to say Choo was trying to bunt for a hit? Or was it clearly a sacrifice? I'm just listening, couldn't see it.

The base/out situation isn't a bad time for a sacrifice, but when you have one of your second-best hitter at the plate, it doesn't make much sense. Perhaps Choo just free-lanced on that one.

If he had hit the ball to the right side and advanced the man to third, it would be great fundamental baseball. What's the difference?
