Hopefully they can tie Bailey up for a couple of extra years but i don't know how optimistic I am about it.
Bailey's numbers are close enough, IMO, to at least get a one-year deal done, if not the beginnings of an LTC.
I'd be pretty hard-line with Choo, as they're only going to have him for one year. (Though, to be fair, I can't see how he's worth less than $8 million.)
Bailey made $2.425 in 2012 so even if he goes to arbitration and loses he will get a raise of at least $2.325.
I'd offer Cho $33 million for three yearsand see what happens...

I agree its very unlikely to happen. But I'd also look to try to sign Choo up. When Billy is ready, Choo moves to left and Ludwick becomes a great bench bat and fills in for Choo/Bruce against tough lefties. Would LOVE to see it happen, but I doubt it would. That's 25 million in arbitration if the Reds players get everything they want-but how often do the Reds actually go all the way through the arbitration process.
Almost never. You'll see the Reds and the players end up splitting the difference for most of them. Maybe Bailey and Latos get longer deals this year. I'd find a way to sign Choo long term also. He's younger and better than Ludwick.Quote:
