Re: Oh Rich, where art thou?
But The Hatte is hot, who does he play for?
Re: Oh Rich, where art thou?
The infield isn't the issue.
It is LF, CF, C and when those are your 3,5, and 6 hitters like they are tonight, you will struggle.

Yeah, but the Reds really don't need anymore left handers against lefthanders with Dunn and Griffey. Like tonight I think the Reds offense would be alot better with Rich in the lineup against Maholm, who is left-handed.

The Hat is hitting better vs. LHP then RHP.

If Rich is batting 4th it seems like your 3, 5, and 6 have better pitches to swing at. I know your obsessed with Griffey so you should remember what happened to the offense last September when Griffey went on the DL. The offense really struggled and batters like Dunn didn't get anything to swing at. The role Griffey played last year is same role that Aurilia when he's in the lineup this year.

You did not just compare RA to Griffey did you?
And since when am I obsessed with Junior?

All I am saying is that RA provides the protection in the lineup that Junior did last year that keeps the offense going. We all know KGJ is a HOF and is a better hitter than RA but RA seems to let everyone in the lineup see better pitches this year.
There was a sequence of posts you had written where I got the impression that you were absolutely infatuated with the guy. If I am wrong (which seems the case) then I got the wrong impression.
Re: Oh Rich, where art thou?
Aurilia is sorely missed. He fits well in the 2 or 4 spot. He's a great clutch hitter and he HITS the ball. What a concept!!
