2-4, 5.09 ERA
Lyons will start Monday in place of the injured Jake Westbrook. The rookie southpaw was recalled last week and pitched two scoreless innings of relief Tuesday. He is 2-4 with a 5.35 ERA in seven big league starts this year.
Lefty the reds have never seen?
Will be shocked if the Reds plate 3 runs.
Hopefully the reds throw a toaster in my bathtub.
Re: 8.26.13 Reds @ Cardinals
It's a big game....maybe the lefty will have some jitters and the Reds can get to him early.
This is the 'A' line-up...taking game 1 would be sweet (and of course, games two and three as well)!

Relax :) , the Reds saw him June 8. The Reds scored 4 runs in 5.1 IP against him.
This should be an easy win for the Reds, provided Leake gives us a decent night (which I think he will).
We caught a nice break getting Lyons.
Re: 8.26.13 Reds @ Cardinals
This is like a playoff game to me. Very excited/nervous.

Jon Jay loves playing the Reds.
OPS of .923 against the Reds, second highest against teams he's played more than 3 times....it's .961 against the Rockies. Significant jump for a career OPS of .760.
Re: 8.26.13 Reds @ Cardinals
First two games in this series line up well for us.
Re: 8.26.13 Reds @ Cardinals
Kind of have to win this one. If not, then it could be a ugly three days in St Louis.
Re: 8.26.13 Reds @ Cardinals
7 PM EST start time in order to accommodate ESPN. I about missed that.
Re: 8.26.13 Reds @ Cardinals
1 thru 9, that's the best hitting lineup this Reds team has to offer. Hopefully they send a message in game one.

I agree. However that Cardinals lineup sent chills down my spine.
Re: 8.26.13 Reds @ Cardinals
I know it's not football, but the boys need to come out early and punch em in the mouth.

Agree. Baseball intensity and football intensity are completely different animals but they should serve the same purpose of promoting focus.
