Glad to see Stubbs getting a day off, especially when it results in both Heisey and Lewis in the lineup. It seems like Drew has been trotted out there every day and even though he has performed wonderfully I don't want to run his legs into the ground.

Cairo might be behind Bruce because he might have a good history against the Pirate starting pitcher or to be a potential baserunner in front of Lewis to allow Fred to attempt a hit-and-run.
But I'd protect Bruce with Hernandez and bat Cairo 8th (or Ninth).
