I wonder if we'll see more of this in the post-steroid era.

If he retires, does he continue to draw the contract salary??? My guess is yes.

Alonso singles to right. 1st and 2nd.
Re: 7/8/12 - Reds @ SD Fathers
Methinks Cueto has about had it.

You suggesting Scotty took PEDs? Would never have thought that, but I've been wrong many times today :-)

Being a sunk cost, I'm sure the money could be worked out.

He does not draw the salary if he retires
Re: 7/8/12 - Reds @ SD Fathers
I'd love to see Rolen retire during the AS Break. It's painful watching great players go out like this. Willie Mays-esque.

I think he suggests Rolen did not take them, hence the decline.
Re: 7/8/12 - Reds @ SD Fathers
I always root for the Reds to win, but so far they don't deserve to win this ballgame.
They score on long home runs but don't seem capable of taking advantage of opportunities with men on base at all. Not at all.
Re: 7/8/12 - Reds @ SD Fathers
Maybin flies out to right. 2 outs.

Thanks for the clarification! I was thinking the opposite, which is par for the course today.

They deserve to win because they have homegrown an outstanding pitcher.

Ok. I'll clarify. The offense doesn't deserve to win.
