i dont understand how you can be a major league baseball player, as in, you are one of the best baseball players in the world, and not strive to improve. Like, how is Stubbs not getting better? He is just as bad as last year - I don't understand.

They rationalize it by saying that it's better to just rest and stay away from the game during the offseason after a long year.
