Re: Harang vs. Eaton (6/3/08)
I really hope Griffey is back. The Reds need that 1-2 combo of Hairston-Bruce.
If he doesn't play, I'd like to see:
Hairston CF
Bruce RF
Dunn LF
Phillips 2B
Votto 1B
Encarnacion 3B
Janish SS
Ross C
Re: Harang vs. Eaton (6/3/08)
Tonight I think we see 600.
Would also like Jay Bruce to extend his hit streak

Freel is why our offense just never seem to get much done last night.
0-4.
He hits WAYYY too many ground balls.

Last night he did the exact opposite of what our 2 hole hitter did all of last week. Take pitches, make the pitcher work, and get on base. Haven't we lost the last two games he has started? That Thursday game vs. Pitt didn't he start and bat second or first?

yes...yes he did.
Freel is just not the answer, on griffey off days.
We missed keppinger last night.
Freel is too aggressive at the plate.
He mixes Agressiveness with wrecklessness too much. Which is why you have a love/hate relationship with him.
Re: Harang vs. Eaton (6/3/08)
SS-Jerry Hairston Jr.
CF-Ryan Freel
RF-Jay Bruce
2B-Brandon Phillips
LF-Adam Dunn
1B-Joey Votto
3B-Edwin Encarnacion
C-Paul Bako
P-Harang
Please get on base tonight Freel. A lot.

griffey out again>? ?? ?? ?
The reds trying to hold him off until they come back home in a feeble attempt to pack the stands when he still has 599?
freel is the key tonight to give volquez any run support.

i forgot. For some reason i keep thinking it was volquez tonight.
Even worse than. This team hates giving run support for harang.
Hopefully we can change that tonight. :)
Re: Harang vs. Eaton (6/3/08)
Harang needs to step it up tonight, looks like Volquez has taken over as our ace. Would be a vicious 1-2 punch if Harang can get it together but has a brutal test tonight vs. the Phils.
Re: Harang vs. Eaton (6/3/08)
I would think there would be more excitement/discussion about the games due to the way the Reds have been playing lately.

Simply discussing our opinions on how to keep it that way.
Freel helping to give much needed run support on the 2-6 record Harang i think would qualify for that...no?>

bgwilly I thank you for your addition to the discussion on this thread. I apologize if you thought my post was directed toward you. I simply meant I thought MORE people would like to discuss the game. I have enjoyed discussing the game with you in this thread.
I go to quite an effort to put these threads together and they often don't get much attention. That is why I said that. Sorry for the confusion. It seems like people would like to talk about all the so called "drama" around the team than the actual games at times.
