Re: Reds vs. Tigers Friday 6/8
They have 2 consecutive pretty weak ground balls that found a hole. He's not getting balls launched off of him or anything.

They hit two ground balls through holes. Try to overcome your Reds hate and be factual.

+1
Re: Reds vs. Tigers Friday 6/8
Stubbs may be faster but he does not dive after balls.

Bad hitting by the Tigers. He is missing up all the time. Fielder should know better.
Re: Reds vs. Tigers Friday 6/8
as bad as latos is the offense should have more than 4 runs tonight

Overcome your desire to defend a bad trade and look at his performance objectively. Volquez is out-pitching him, albeit in Petco which, ironically enough, is probably what made Latos look so appealing in the first place.
Plenty of people around here trumpeted the fact that Latos has a propensity to stink in the first month of the season....but we're 1/3 of the way through, month 3, and he's still just a very average pitcher. Meanwhile, we're left with a depleted farm system and his contract as opposed to Edinson's. Disaster.

I would hate to think what this board would be like if we had the Cards' rotation.

Yes, Latos was brought in here to be the number 2 guy. He is not filling that role. It is up to Bailey now, hopefully with the summer weather, he goes on a tear.

This has zero to do with the trade which, by the way, is way too early to judge. Maker, as usual, is claiming things that are just flat out false. Quit defending it even if it meshes with your premature thought about the trade.
