Re: Biogenesis thread- more names to come
Here's the AP story. Fifty games is not much of a deterent, IMO. All of these guys will be back at the start of next season. Basically getting a couple of months of vacation. Albeit not paid.

Re: Biogenesis thread- more names to come
Any thought as to why almost all of these new names are Latino players?

It's almost as if MLB is encouraging PED use.

I heard ARod say he wanted PEDs out of baseball. I'm sure he does so he can continue taking them when everyone else has stopped.

Apparently most of the suspended players had the same agent (ACES sports agency).
It looks like a group of players who are friends or who have connections to the Miami Hurricanes and/or ACES sports agency shared this "source" amongst themselves privately. Unfortunately for them the "source" was careless enough to keep written records and they all got busted.
Re: Biogenesis thread- more names to come
It seems like the list referenced above must be those players who accepted their 50 game suspensions. If players are fighting the action (ARod), we won't have those names until their appeals are finished ?

Nothing lost for Will on this... that song still plays on the radio nearly ever hour or so in MIA.

I think I read that A-Rod is the only player who is planning to fight the suspension. Everyone else just accepted it.
Re: Biogenesis thread- more names to come
9 of the 14 names mentioned are clients of the ACES agency. ACES were/are under investigation for being linked to steroid/PED distribution. I don't know whatever became of the investigation, but Shane Victorino left the agency last season while it was being investigated.
Re: Biogenesis thread- more names to come
Well at least one convicted criminal/former Major Leaguer thinks that Johnny Peralta is being selfish for accepting his suspension without appeal.

I'm rarely a proponent of pitchers throwing at player's domes, but A-Rod is the reason to "never say never". It would suit me just fine for him to wear every pitch he sees from here until the end of time.

So you are down with potentially killing him?
Re: Biogenesis thread- more names to come
211 games for ARod, effective 8/8.
