On an X-files episode, an alien chose to play in the Negro Leagues instead of for an NL or AL team.
For the Roswell Grays, of course.

I'm not being facetious either, but I tend to wonder about the validity of this Eisenhower report, I'd think aliens might have more interest in Truman or perhaps a Roosevelt.
Interesting. I've seen ghosts, but I don't believe in them. Seriously. I put it down to skewed perceptions set up by being raised in an imaginative family.

What I find funny is that when you look at the way aliens are portrayed - like E.T, or the picture posted - and that many say they are our relatives, just further advanced on the evolutionary scale, then that has to be disheartening knowing what future generations here on earth are going to end up looking like, and there will be no Brad Pitts and Kate Beckinsales.
It certainly will spell the death of the pornography industry and Playboy. :D

On the other hand, everyone ending up as a little grey alien makes bigotry, intolerance, and racial stereotyping a tad more difficult. That might not be such an awful thing.*
* - As pointed out in the Tommy Lee Jones cinema classic "Volcano."
Re: Did Eisenhower Meet With Aliens in 1954?
Ike met with them, but his staff had misjudged just how small these guys were. Because of that, you know how awkward it is when your guest at the country club doesn't really fit in anyway, on top of having to use the kid clubs they rent out, the round of golf they had planned was a colossal failure. The aliens walked off on the 13th green.
The fact that the aliens went on to partner with the Soviet Union hasn't been revealed, but that is essentially what happened after the fiasco at Congressional. They did, however, give Ike a fake heart, which allowed him to finish out two terms. Without it, he would have been dead in six months.

Governments are so terrible at keeping secrets -- I find it tough to believe something like this could happen and not have been confirmed with some hard evidence before.
I really think it depends on what the government is trying to keep secret. For example, the government did an excellent job in keeping secret the stealth program for years. That program involved a small number of researchers and people who knew about it. The larger the "secret", the greater the chance of a secret coming out (ie Wikileaks). If it's aliens we are talking about, only a handful of people would know about it and if those people are sworn to keep a secret under the penalty of death, the Government could very easily keep something like this a secret.

Ahhh, I don't know how secret the stealth program was. I think by the early 80's, the general parameters of the aircraft were known and that the Skunk Works was busy on it. Tom Clancy wrote about the "Frisbies of Dreamland" in 1986 and the F-117 didn't see the light of day till the first Iraq war (I think).
