According to some on ORG, this isn't a problem.

That was a beautiful throw by Mes. It doesn't get any better than that. Hopefully he starts getting more playing time. If that happens, I think we'll see a rise in production from the catchers spot.

Seemed to me that ball bounced to Phillips. Thom said it was a good throw, maybe I just didn't get a good view of it.
The ball beat the runner, but it looked like a one hop throw by Mes.

It did not come close to bouncing. It was a perfect throw.

It was a perfect throw on a line. No bounce. BP just dropped it.

The runner did help tho...still shoulda had it!

Cingrani may get out of this inning but that drop by Phillips could turn out to be huge. It is the little things that can cost you. Don't like giving extra outs to a good team.
Re: Friday June 28, 2013 Reds @ Texas 8:05 PM Eastern
tony better get a grip quick before this gets out of hand
Re: Friday June 28, 2013 Reds @ Texas 8:05 PM Eastern
Close call there. Full count. Cingrani already at 23 pitches

Yes, because he has always been one to take days off, loaf, and play careless ball over the years.
