Re: 4/6/6 Game Thread vs Pirates (Welcome Home Casey)
I'm hoping for a Reds win against the Pirates.
Nice that Casey is coming back to Cincinnati, but in all honesty, I could care less. Players change teams all the time. He's a great guy off the field, but I won't miss him on the field. We need to move on to a different model at 1B, and hopefully, sometime down the road, we will.

Hopefully they get this game in here is tonight's National Weather Service forecast:

Re: 4/6/6 Game Thread vs Pirates (Welcome Home Casey)
I'm watching the weather closely. I'm leaving here about 3:30 and I really want to see Casey's return.
It looks like it's for sure going to pour rain, but from the look of the radar, it might clear out and be gone by gametime.
I hope so anyway.

The forecast for tomorrow night is not good either so it may be a long couple of nights.

So far, so good... 2 HRs & 6 RBIs from the 1st-base spot in two games for the REDS.

I think someone did an opening day thread last October as a joke.

My first set of Dragons tickets are Friday night. I'm bringing a snorkel.
Re: 4/6/6 Game Thread vs Pirates (Welcome Home Casey)
I know Snell is highly regarded, but his stuff seemed very mediocre in the start I saw against the Reds in ST. He does have some nice offspeed stuff, but it just seems like he doesn't enough fastball to make the slow stuff effective on big league hitters. Anyone else have an opinion on Snell?
Re: 4/6/6 Game Thread vs Pirates (Welcome Home Casey)
If the Reds work Snell like they did Zambrano and Rusch, he's in for a miserable night.
