I'd forgotten about that when I saw the lineups - I have to assume Bruce is in due to his recent hitting. Otherwise I'd have thought we'd see Heisey, Paul and Ludwick in the outfield.

Not going to play Paul against a lefty. The guy would be Stubbs. Rather have Bruce.
Re: 9/10/2012 Pirates at Reds
I get the feeling Latos is extremely frustrated by this umpire.
Re: 9/10/2012 Pirates at Reds
This strike zone is absurd.
Re: 9/10/2012 Pirates at Reds
Bengals answer at the end of the half with a TD.
Halftime, Bengals down 17-10 but will get the ball to start the half.

He always seems to get up to high pitch counts pretty early in a game. About the only thing I'd like to see him change.

He was running up high counts in April, the last few months he's generally been good at going deep into games.

Maybe. I think he's been just terrific and has pitched deep into games plenty.
This game should be 1-1 if not for the defense and the umpire.
Re: 9/10/2012 Pirates at Reds
Latos wanting every pitch that is close to the zone...the last 3 pitches he was upset about were balls off the plate.

Forgot Wandy was a lefty. Looking at the stats, Stubbs wouldn't have been a poor choice to be out there even over Bruce going against the left handers.

Didn't say he pitched badly, just that he runs his pitch count up.
Re: 9/10/2012 Pirates at Reds
Frazier really, really needs a couple of days off. Weak swings, defensive mistakes, he's really going poorly.

I don't see any serious problem. It's not like Volquez or anything.
Thom is talking playoffs like it's a done deal. I don't view it as a done deal.
