I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he didn't hint to Klinker that this might be a good field for him to pursue. Klinker was good on the games he sat in on. Just wondering...
It might be something he look at down the road, but he actually retired from baseball for a pretty good job that he is taking.

Kyle Waldrop just walked for Dayton. That is his 8th walk of the season. Last season he walked 10 times in 293 plate appearances. LOVE that kind of improvement.

Dayton picks up another run on a wild pitch and now leads 5-2. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs in the 4th.
Louisville is down 2-1 in the 6th.

Make that 7-2 after a Nick O'Shea single for Dayton.
Re: Friday April 20th, 2012 Minor League updates (Dayton video online)
An RBI triple by Jefry Sierra made it 8-2. A wild pitch plated him to make it 9-2.

Do you think Henry Rodriguez has a shot at being the Reds starting 3B next year?

Doubt it. If they had that thought, he probably would have been in Louisville to start the year.

Dayton is now in a rain delay.
Re: Friday April 20th, 2012 Minor League updates (Dayton video online)
Speaking of walks, Greene, Felhauer, and Puckett all walked in second for Pensacola, then Rojas brought one in with a double play. 1-0 Wahoos.

Double by Fleury makes it 2-0 Pensacola
Re: Friday April 20th, 2012 Minor League updates (Dayton video online)
Pensacola now 3-0. On the increased walks theme mentioned by Doug earlier with Waldrop, I've been watching this with Puckett. His walk tonight was his 13th in 42 AB's; last year 28 in 345.

No kidding. There's no doubt that his approach has changed. However, for instances like this, I like to remind people of Jonny Gomes. He walked 20 times in April and then 28 times the last 5 months. In the minor leagues, it takes pitchers longer to adjust, but the adjustments are inevitable. I can't wait to see what he does when that happens.
