Alfredo Simon as starter?
Does anyone else out there think Simon could be the guy the Reds go to if they needed another starter?
Francis had seemed to be the logical candidate but he hasn't exactly had a great year so far.
Simon just seems to have such good stuff and it's almost wasted as infrequently as he gets the call.
He started 16 games for Baltimore last year.
Re: Alfredo Simon as starter?
Started 16 games for Baltimore - and went 4-9 with a 4.90 ERA and with an opposing batting average of .284.
As a reliever so far this season he's 0-1 with an era of 2.04 and the opposition b.a is .275.
So far he's looking like a better reliever than a starter.
