You may or may not know that I have a cat. His name is Votto. He's awesome.
My wife decided we needed a kitten this June. Our sweet 15year-old dog was looking at her final days, and I was against getting a kitten. I was over ruled by our adult kids and wife. We went to our animal shelter and learned of a litter of seven kittens that had been left in a rural area. They had been bottle fed by a volunteer. The worker said we were lucky because they had just come in and were a bunch of monkeys.
We looked at the litter, and they looked like a popcorn machine. They were all over the place. One was running over the heads of the others and all over the place. The worker said we should take that one because she was the Alpha kitten and full of personality. We took her suggestion.
She has been a lot of work. We have had cats before, but this one is something else. Every meal involves catching her before she lands in our food. At night, she snuggles up into our faces and purrs loudly.
Today, she ran outside and climbed at least 50 feet up a tree. She was up in the twigs at the very top and very scared. It took at least two hours to coax her down...and it was not easy. I had to climb 20 feet up a ladder, and she jumped 10 feet onto my head and back. I thought we would both fall to serious injury.
I did not want this animal, but she is my constant companion. As I type this, she is purring in my left arm.

We have a Kelpie, the kind of Australian herder that is often seen running over the backs of sheep herds. She's a really smart girl...tends to herd the kids, which is fun to watch. I still miss my old Yellow Lab; he did nothing but love everybody he met.
Have 2 Burmese kittens and a 2 year old Norwegian Forest Cat.
Rugby, as a pup.
I've always wanted to get three pups from the same litter and name them Willie, Micky and Duke.

After losing Daisy at the end of September, I wasn't sure I was quite ready for another dog, but my daughters and wife adopted for us this beagle mix named Max! He is very energetic!:D
Beagles are s m a r t dogs
Santa brought the kids a beagle last Christmas and it has been quite a year with the new dog.
Is your beagle a chewer? Ours is only like 14 months old but his chewing is pretty awful to the point he has destroyed furniture. Our friends say if we walk him more he will chew less.
A headline story on yahoo right now.
