I know I am old but I remember the time when if a pitcher touched 90 he was considered a hard thrower. These days it seems like every pitcher in mid-90s. Especially the relievers.

One of these mediocre guys have got to pitch bad against us sometime soon.
If Cairo sacrificed then they just walk Hanigan.
Ryan Hanigan was signed out of a tryout camp. Just goes to show you. Something. :)
Anyone else think that roster expanding is a dumb rule, if you have tons of depth it helps you out too much in a playoff push.
Henry Rodriguez pinch-hitting for Arroyo. Now kinda makes you wonder why Cairo wasn't asked to bunt. Arroyo just at 75 pitches.
67 vs 67
Cardinals tied it
Cards have tied Nationals 2-2, top 7
Leadoff runner reaches first and stays planted, as Henry Rodriguez Ks in his first major league at-bat. Does he ask for the ball??
Jose Arredondo on. Reds can't complain about the pitching in this series.
Tony Cingrani called up.
Milo Hamilton is 85 years old today. Wow.
I'm not sure the guns were that accurate in the old days. It sure seemed like Gossage threw as hard as anyone I've ever seen (save Chapman) and he was timed about 92-93. I don't remember anyone ever talking about pitch speed with Koufax.
Still it makes sense that today's athlete throws harder.
