Don't understand the firing with six games to go. Early speculation is Francona...naturally.

Francona would be crazy to take that job. I think he could have his choice of jobs that open up. I don't think it's far fetched to see him in Cincy next year, I think Dusty's going to ride off into the sunset.

Manny Acta seems like a decent manager. With all of the mistakes that front office has made over the past few years, coupled with key injuries, that was an absolute no win at the Mistake by the Lake. Acta is probably thrilled he doesn't have to be exposed to another Browns game.

He's a great baseball mind who may not have the temperament for being the person in charge when adversity hits. He made a bad situation worse in Washington too.
They were 5-24 in August and have more talent than that.
