Official 2005 MLB Prediction Thread
NL Central - Cardinals
NL East - Florida
NL West - Dodgers
NL Wild Card - Atlanta (coming down to the wire against Colorado)
NL Pennant - Cards (they'll make a trading deadline move to put them over the hump)
NL MVP - Now that Bonds is out of the way, this will become the Albert Pujols award as long as he's healthy.
NL Cy Young - Jason Schmidt. If Houston is in the race, Brad Lidge could wind up winning the award. And If Ben Sheets is traded to an NL Team, he's definitely got a good shot.
AL East - Yankees
AL Central - Cleveland
AL West - Anaheim
Wild Card - Minnesota. I have a feeling Boston is going to disapoint this year. Just a hunch.
AL Pennant - Yanks. They've got too much. Randy Johnson makes them a different team in the playoffs.
AL MVP - Alex Rodriguez. He comes back this year in a big way. Too bad he's stuck at 3B when he's still the best SS in the game.
AL Cy Young - Randy Johnson. I'd be surprised if he doesn't win 20 games and have one of the better years of his career in New York.
World Series - St. Louis Cardinals

NL MVP - Dunn (I have a feeling)
I think Dunn will put up MVP numbers, but Pujols or someone else will get it because they don't strikeout as much.

Re: Official MLB Prediction Thread
"World Series - St. Louis Cardinals"
Really? Their pitching staff (top to bottom) is actually weaker than last year and you think that staff will win them a championship, against, say, Boston's, New York's, heck even Cleveland's?
I'm afraid I just don't see it.
