Lotzkar through four: 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K. It's 1-0 Bakersfield.
Tucker Barnhart's first HR of the season, with Bryson Smith aboard, puts the Blaze up 3-0 after five.
Lotzkar went six: 2 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 5 K. It's still 3-0 after seven.
Yessir, that's great news. Extremely strong outing from Lotzkar and hopefully this will get Barnhart going at the plate.
I like what I've seen of Yovan Gonzalez, the catcher at Dayton, on the two telecasts this week. Obviously he's off to a hot start at the plate, and he's got a quality short swing, but the main thing is that he looks like a very solid receiver and a good leader. A little competition for Barnhart as they climb the ladder.
