I'd like to submit the following:
Savatage

Check them out. Do it now. What are you waiting for, stop reading and give these bands a listen.

NRBQ.
I don't know that they are underrated, but certainly they are not as known as they should be.
We've had this conversation.

Twice, actually.

That was 2004, this is 2005. It's a whole new level of underratedness.Quote:

The Jayhawks
The Kinks
Sometimes I think the point of band names is to make their fans sound silly when they talk about them.Quote:

You guys KNOW I'm going to do it ...
www.thirtysecondstomars.com
That'd be 30 Seconds to Mars; click and hear their new song. It's a good one.
:)
The Catherine Wheel
Curve
Fountains of Wayne
Manic Street Preachers
Although I'm sure there are many, many more.
Somebody just came into my office. They thought an alarm was going off.Quote:

I'd also submit Strata (they have a lot of room to grow, but I've seen them live three times. They put on a great show.), Finger Eleven (seen them twice), Maktub (funk rock), Greenwheel (rock band from St. Louis, had a song nominated for a grammy), and Lennon Murphy. I just listened to a Coheed And Cambria album. They're pretty good, although their vocalists high pitched 80's-ish voice gets a on my nerves a bit. Slipknot and Mudvayne seem to have become somewhat respectable this year. Still a bit too much pointless screaming for my tastes, though.
I was never so proud as the time when my vinyl copy of Low Budget arrived in the mail via my RCA Record Club membership.. :DQuote:
