Coming into today, Frazier was hitting .259/.400/.333 in May.
I will take my chances with Frazier.
Just like Cozart, Todd Frazier this year has a substantially increased ground ball rate and a reduced line drive rate.
It could be the way they are pitching them. It could be that these hitters are trying to avoid fly balls and beating too many on the ground. Or it just could be early season woes or variances.
In both cases, the fly ball rates are about the same as 2012.
I'm not equating the two hitters, but it is interesting how they are both hitting many more grounders and their overall hitting lags behind last year.
No, I'm not saying Cozart and Frazier are equivalent hitters.

I am worried. They need his glove but cannot afford to have his bat turn into Scott Rolen 2011.
A few days to clear his head would be good for Frazier. After that the every day job should still be his.
