Had two games just needing to win one to keep a two game lead, but now looking at a tie in the division. With no Houston to beat up on and more H2H games with St Louis it makes these games extra important but we pull a Choo this series and dropped the ball.
I said this yesterday, Adams isn't just some bo hart random minor league player. He's hit 82 bombs in 3 1/2 years in the minors and has always hit for average with high OBP. It's not like this guy has come out of nowhere.

I want to see Pirate blood after that one.

He played in hitters parks that all favor LH hitters and came up in hitters leagues, his OPS was under .700 in the majors last year. He's the last cards fluke going 9-for-14 in the early going already matching his HR total from last year in 72 less AB.
Re: 4/10/13 - Reds at Cardinals
i wish this would fire this team up getting their butts handed to them,, like the Cards did after giving up 9 runs in the 9th 2 days ago!! I can only wish cant I??

I've missed your sour grapes. And a reds fan should be the last person to ever complain about another teams high HR factor. Using your logic, Votto and Fielder are not actually as good as they look

Re: 4/10/13 - Reds at Cardinals
So I guess Westbrook inherited that same "mojo" that turned Kyle Lohse and a never ending sting of mediocre pitchers into frontline starters. Kyle had a 4.79 career ERA drop to 3.11 his last two years in St Louis and Jake was 4.30 and is now at 15.2 IP with no ER despite a 10-4 walk to SO ratio early this year.

haha you're really going off of last year's numbers when he had to spot start from AAA due to Craig's injury? Yes, he struggled last year, which most players do when being called up from AAA. He's made the team this year, lost some weight, changed his stroke slightly, and continues what he was doing from Spring Training. You're right in saying that the PCL is a hitters league but to deny he has power is silly. A good hitters park doesn't also account for his high OBP and batting average either. You're not giving Adams enough credit. However, you still won't give guys like Allen Craig credit for being a good hitter by using the same "he played in hitters parks" argument.
EDIT: I guess if Oscar Taveras gets called up and starts raking, you're going to come up with the same "hitters league" argument that you've been using for a while now on this forum.

You Sir, are ignorant of the facts. Beltran far and away the better defensive player. He glides to the balls while Jay starts one way, changes his rout and
gets to balls, ending up on the ground on plays that Carlos would catch in stride.
The toe argument is rediculas. Would his toe bother him more in CF? Look at Jay's numbers compared to Kosma. It's a no brainer. Bottom line: you gotta get Adams in the lineup every day. Jay should sit.;)

The only way jay is supplanted in CF is is if in 2 months Oscar taveras is hitting .500 with 20 bombs in Memphis while playing a very good CF

Home town is a homer, hence his name. He knows nothing about the players he talks about. (Cards player, that is)

That is true. Because like LaRussa, Matheny is an idiot.
Re: 4/10/13 - Reds at Cardinals
A homer on a Reds board? Oh, the humanity.
