Consigning a item to an auction house
Has anyone ever done this? My father has a few really interesting sports items and I am starting to look around to help him unload them. Any tips would be appreciated.

Get the percentage they will take out of selling price. Look online for value. Auctions are tricky as items can sell for more or less than what the going price is. Research online of other peoples experiences. Maybe try selling on CraigsList first?
Best wishes,

If they are high-dollar items I can sell them for you. I am a professional seller. I get absolute top dollar for my items if my consignors are patient enough to wait for the right buyer. I charge reasonable rates.

That sounds like a better idea over an auction. Auctions are tricky, you need at least two people who want the item really bad, sometimes you will get just low bids for people who are just there to flip it.
