I guess the Pirates intelligent approach to hitting explains why they have the least amount of runs scored in the majors this year.

Would u like their lineup a little better when V-Mart comes back?

C: Hanigan/Mesoraco v Avila/Laird ... wash.
1B: Votto v Fielder ... wash (if anything, Votto)
2B: Phillips v Raburn, Santiago (or whatever scrub the Tigers are playing at 2B that day) ... Phillips
3B: Rolen/Frazier v Cabrera ... Cabrera
SS: Cozart v Peralta ... Cozart (we're not talking about last year)
LF: Ludwick/Heisey v Young ... wash (Young's numbers stink ... they're like spoiled milk)
CF: Stubbs v Jackson ... Jackson (but not by much)
RF: Bruce v Boesch ... Bruce

The Tigers sit 8th in runs scored in the AL this year, FWIW, so the duo of Cabrera/Fielder can't be getting that much help.

Why jack one to the leftfield bleachers when you can punch a base wrap over the 2nd basemen?

Cozart with another single
Re: Tigers @ Reds 6.8.12 "It's 1940 all over again!"
Heisey laces a single down the right field line, 1st and third

Yes.

Perralta has better numbers this year than Cozart so I would call that a wash also. Cozart would be better if this team had a legitimate leadoff hitter. Basically their about even but this Tigers team is an under achieving bunch which isn't like a Leyland team. When V-Mart comes back the lineup will be that much better. I still like their lineup even with the facts in front of my face. Over a 162 game season they will produce

Fact.

I'm concerned about Joey here. He may faint when he realizes there are two on and no out for him.
