Anyone watch it tonight?
It was honestly better than I thought it would be. But I think the novelty will wear off once it gets to the coaching stage.

I agree. After all the overpromotion, I really wanted to dislike it, but I found myself rooting for some of the contestants and really finding the whole idea intriguing.
The different coaches add a different dynamic, and it will be interesting as they go on to see how that plays out. In a lot of ways there are almost too many things to keep track of, how many singers to each coach, the different elimination rounds, et al.
I thought the bald headed dude that didn't make it was one of the best.
I have never watched an entire episode of Idol, or any of those other shows since Star Search went off the air. I watched about 10 minutes of The Voice last night, and I was thoroughly unimpressed with everything except Cee Lo Green's shirt.
I thought it was a good show. I am not really an Idol fan. I will be interesting how the coaches pan out. Will it be like sports when the best coaches are usually not the greatest players?
I didn't watch it, but I'm fairly sure I can smell Christina Aguilera from here.
Ok, in all seriousness about the show, I think the idea has potential in judging people on voice talent and not the pre-packaged Idol like idea.
Except after round 1...... it's not blind....
I have to admit, I got sucked into it. I won't be DVR'ing it or anything, but I found it much more interesting than Idol.
I DVR'd it and I thought it was a great new outside-the-box idea.
