Can you just add something without the snark?
Re: Reds/Marlins Trade Brewing?
Not against the rules for the two teams to talk about players on the DL. He's due to come off next week. Just saying.

Stanton for Heisey straight up once they're both off the DL? I'd probably have to consider that one. Slightly tempting. ;)

And not all of Walt's traded come out of nowhere. There was smoke around Latos the offseason he came here, leading up to hard rumors that were posted here the day before it happened.
Hamilton + a lot more. I'm guessing Cingrani too, at the very least.
Re: Reds/Marlins Trade Brewing?
No, Andy Fermin (aka the Furrball) did not tip you off to something major. Nothing will go down. When something is really going down nobody hears of it until it happens.
Re: Reds/Marlins Trade Brewing?
Actually, you can trade players who are on the DL, Carl Crawford was on the DL when he was traded last year.
Re: Reds/Marlins Trade Brewing?
You guys act like Stanton is on the DL for the entire season. It's very possible the Reds are talking with the Marlins now about a trade, but nothing official would happen until AFTER he came off the DL.
I'm intrigued. Do I think anything will materialize out of this? No. But I wouldn't completely rule it out.
Re: Reds/Marlins Trade Brewing?
That said for discussions sake: any chance the Reds would dangle Chapman in a trade while his stock is still as high as ever, move Broxton to closer and get a huge bat? If they've decided that Chapman is never going to be a starting P here it might be wise. Still wouldn't make sense for it to be Miami on the other side though.

Andy Furman is the radio host? Why didn't you just say that upfront?
This makes me believe the rumor even less. Furball is a clown.

Because if so, yeah it's nothing.
Sounds like the kinds of things I used to see Andy Furman post on his FB page. Like he has any connection to today's Reds.

It's not being snarky! There is zero credibility to this.
