Could be pretty close. I'm thinking that unless Cueto has decided he prefers Mesoraco, Hannigan will be the catcher and Heisey better light a fire under his bat or Ludwick will start in left. Based strictly on ST stats, Ludwick has earned the spot.
Pop up to Phillips.
Ground ball to Phillips. Two easy outs.
Cueto fools Cabrera on a 2-2 breaking pitch. K.
Cowboy thinks all six Reds' starters are ready to open the season. All six?
Brandon rung up to start the game. Cha-ching.
Cozart pops to the second sacker.
Votto rolls to second.
Hafner strikes out.
Johnny leaves a 1-2 change up and Renaissance Man Carlos Santana loses it over the right field wall. 1-0.
Kotchman sends a routine fly to Bruce for out number two.
Rolen fields on the big hop and fires a seed over to Votto to retire the Indians in the top of the second.
1-0 Cleveland.
Rolen with another professional at-bat which ends in a free pass for Scott.
Bruce sends the center fielder all the way to wall. Rolen would have been doubled off but the throw clipped his helmet as he was scrambling back.
Heisey grounds to short. It is bobbled and all hands are safe.
Stubbs Ks. Yawn. Just about any two-strike breaking pitch will have Drew grabbing some pine. 15 Ks in 42 ABs. Good thing he has no intention on changing his approach.
Mesoraco strikes out on two pitches I think. That was quick.
1-0. Tribe.
stubbs should be sent to minors he is pathetic
Should anything be read into the fact that Marshall pitched the 8th and Arredondo the 9th? I mean whoever the Reds feel is gonna be their closer should probably get used to pitching the 9th. Prepare for that role and all that.
