The ability to find the strike zone while also missing bats???

I would like to see what the Reds coaching staff could do with him. Especially in a relief role, and he could be a nice swingman.

Derek Lowe would be much better for clubhouse chemistry.

Bobby got into a few games in the Venezuelan Winter League. Friends tell me he looks VERY out of shape.

He always looked kinda out-of-shape, even in his younger days. Just one of those guys with chubby looking frames, just like Mesoraco...
Re: Available remaining free agents
Bartlett would be a nice pickup.
How about Lance Berkman as a fourth OF/ PH/ backup 1B? I'd love to see that happen on the cheap (realizing Berkman's looking for a starting spot and more money than the Reds can offer). I'd also love to see Tom Gorzelanny or Manny Parra. (Live arm, ten cent head.)

Bartlett was a pretty solid player then fell off the map in a small sample last year. I wonder if last year's down season will allow Bartlett to accept a backup position and much less than the $5.5 million he made last year. I am guessing he will not accept either. Either way, the Reds don't need Bartlett. If he can't find a starting job, then finds out that there are none available, maybe he wants to win some games and he will be interested in Cincinnati. Either way, I agree he is a great target, and I love the last name of Bartlett due to the West Wing.
Re: Available remaining free agents
I agree on Gorzelanny too. He was very solid last year, especially vs. lefties. Again, I wonder how cheap he will come considering he had a sub 3 ERA and made 3 million dollars last year...

Any chance Berkman goes back to Houston?

If no one wants him.
You'd think when a player gets to that age they'd want to simply play for a contender and the money would be important, but not AS important.
