To argue otherwise means you are not really a Reds fan, IMHO.

It really doesn't make sense. The only justification is avoiding three lefties in a row.
But with Paul hitting second, you'd pinch hit for him in the lefty reliever/three consecutive lefty situation.
Of course, the Reds really don't have a good righty pinch hitter for Paul, but Robinson gets on base with flairs and speed.
Choo/Votto is such a compelling duo, Cozart just isn't the right guy to hit between them.

Disagree. It was tailing away from him, he got a good jump too. The only way somebody gets to that one easily is if they were positioned differently before the swing.

Watching that hit by Dejesus, I thought Stubbs would have it in CF. Very tough play but a superior CF has it IMO.
Re: 5/5/2013 Los Rojos v. Cachorros
cubbies working up a big first inning pitch count for latos

Re: 5/5/2013 Los Rojos v. Cachorros
Nice comeback by Latos to end the first inning scoreless.
Re: 5/5/2013 Los Rojos v. Cachorros
Yeah, Latos' stuff looks very good today. He's throwing all his pitches early, and throwing them for strikes. I think DeJesus just happened to guess right on that 3-2 pitch.
Re: 5/5/2013 Los Rojos v. Cachorros
i feel like dejesus is the hanigan of outfielders in terms of being underrated
Re: 5/5/2013 Los Rojos v. Cachorros
Jackson throwing well, Ks Bruce looking. Cubs telecast shows a graphic that Jay had 8 homers last year at this point. He doesn't have that many this season.
Re: 5/5/2013 Los Rojos v. Cachorros
Really good AB there by Frazier. Singles on the 8th pitch of the at bat.
Re: 5/5/2013 Los Rojos v. Cachorros
Cubs announcers compliment Frazier on fouling off a lot of pitches and making pitcher work, both yesterday and today.
Full count now, Frazier now singles.
Todd is interesting, he has good power numbers this year, has fielded well, is playing quite well, but he's hitting under .230 BA. Low BABIP, in his case I'd expect his BA to improve soon.
Re: 5/5/2013 Los Rojos v. Cachorros
XPaul walks. He should be hitting second, as I've now said 1,000 times on RedsZone.
Re: 5/5/2013 Los Rojos v. Cachorros
Ride Paul as long as you can. He has to play every day against righties until he cools off.

He's got crazy home/road splits. OPS >1.000 at home, <.400 on the road.
