Honus Wagner Baseball Card Sold for $262,900
And the nuns received $220,000.
I understand the great value of the Wagner card but this "card's sides had been trimmed to fit in a scrapbook,...it was laminated and lost some paper on the back, leaving it in poor condition." Man, the buyer wanted this card bad, no pun intended.

Being super-rich is playing $262,900 for a baseball card, then taking it home and putting it in your bicycle spokes. :D
Re: Honus Wagner Baseball Card Sold for $262,900
The original buyer of the Honus Wagner card never came up with the moola. He received plenty of free publicity for his 7 sports card stores though. ;)
Anyway the new buyer wired the funds to the nuns and everyone now seems as happy as clams.
