Sorry. I wasn't intending to pick on anyone. Just exasperated with this manager after giving him the benefit of the doubt for a long, long time.
Re: 08/28/2013-Reds-vs-Cardinals
you simply have no way of knowing that, at all.
Phillips has produced nearly 100 RBI's with only 16 home runs, clearly he can hit with runners in scoring position and drive runners in.

Interesting.
Getting rid of the black hole between the NL OBP leaders is paramount in that trade-off.

I'm just glad there is at least one person in the organization that wants to try and shake things up a little bit. Little concerning that it has to be the 2nd basemen but whatever, I'll take it.

If the frustration is compounded by the recent (and neverending) woes against the cardinals just remember the pitching has been the goat this year vs them, not anything a batting order tweak would have changed. 6.65 runs per game allowed is ugly.

This from Twitter from a St. Louis media member (ESPN 101)
@StullySTL: Just witnessed Brandon Phillips go off in CIN clubhouse, not pleased w some media members
Re: 08/28/2013-Reds-vs-Cardinals
Reds need to come up big tonight. BP showing leadership by suggesting batting order change. Time to get back on track.

It's not little league. He knows he made a mistake. No need to hammer it. I'm sure we've all made mistakes at work. Does your boss tell you to stay home the next day?

I have never seen an overt sign - read that public --- that Dusty ever punishes -- now he may do it privately but I have my doubts.
If he was doing public punishment -- he's had SO many chances this year and he's passed on every one.
Next issue -- is it a good idea -- that's another debate.
Re: 08/28/2013-Reds-vs-Cardinals
They will play with fire tonight....the Cards will be a little unfocused. The strike zone will be fair and Bailey will pitch well with Chappy going the 9th.
Reds 5
Cards 3
Stop the panic.
Re: 08/28/2013-Reds-vs-Cardinals
Despite an off day tomorrow, Molina sits tonite. A little Matheny hubris?

Interesting.
Cozart leads the Reds in RBI in August. He should bat cleanup.
