Re: Who is Redszone's #20 prospect?
Phipps jumps out to what is most certainly an insurmountable lead. May as well start prospect #21 thread.
Re: Who is Redszone's #20 prospect?
Still with my personal list's number 15, Sulbaran.
Re: Who is Redszone's #20 prospect?
It would be amazing to think a prospect like David Vidal (.280/.350/.498/.847 in a pitcher's league) can't break the Reds' Top 20. He's below league average age and profiles as a solid defender.
Re: Who is Redszone's #20 prospect?
Vidal's certainly worth considering here, but I voted Barnhart. Considering how the rest of that Dayton team did batting-wise (after Torreyes, Vidal, and Lutz), I think people are selling a little bit low on his bat. His defense profiles as good as anybody's... I'd say he's got a pretty high floor (poor offense, good defense MLB backup), which is valuable enough for me to put him above a guy like Vidal, A realistic expectation seems like a younger Hanigan with better defense but lower average, and we all know how valuable that is.
Re: Who is Redszone's #20 prospect?
Previously intended to vote for Greene. Decided Sulbaran first, then Greene.
Re: Who is Redszone's #20 prospect?
I went with David Vidal. He has a good hit tools, good power and good defense. Needs to work on his plate discipline, but aside from that I like his tools.
Re: Who is Redszone's #20 prospect?
I would love to move on from Tucker Barnhart, my No. 10 prospect. Guess I like catchers more than most people.
Re: Who is Redszone's #20 prospect?
Soooooo... does every prospect from 4 on down now move up two spots? Guess we're now voting on #18 again. :D
Re: Who is Redszone's #20 prospect?
The real question now is who are the Reds' numbers two, three and eight prospects? Vidal just might make the top 20 after all.
Re: Who is Redszone's #20 prospect?
Should we re-do our list? Have we in the past? I don't think so.
BTW, I think I will be riding on the Crabbe train for a while. I love the stuff and results. I think he will learn that third pitch and the other two are good enough to make a mediocre third pitch good enough IMO.
Re: Who is Redszone's #20 prospect?
I believe in the past we moved players up on the list if players were traded.
Re: Who is Redszone's #20 prospect?
I always thought Billy Hamilton should be number 2.
Now he is!
Why are all these Padres prospects on our list?
Re: Who is Redszone's #20 prospect?
I know Joseph had a poor year but he's in my personal top 10. I still voted Barnhart per my new voting style of not throwing away my vote on someone no one else is voting for but I really like Joseph still.
Re: Who is Redszone's #20 prospect?
Barnhart all the way here. Should be a solid bet for being at least Ryan Hanigan and maybe even Yadier Molina.
