Hee-Seop Choi a Devil Ray

Devil Rays signed first baseman Hee-Seop Choi to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
A report yesterday indicated that there was an option year on the deal that could make the contract worth up to $2 million. Choi could get a chance to compete for the starting job at first base in spring training. However, after his knee troubles last season, he's probably a long shot to break camp with the club.
Re: Hee-Seop Choi a Devil Ray
I remember how much I wanted him in Cincinnati last season.
Guess that worked out ok though.
Re: Hee-Seop Choi a Devil Ray
TC's getting lazy in his scouting. Hee-Seop Choi? Gee whiz, bud, quit scouting by baseball cards :D
Re: Hee-Seop Choi a Devil Ray
Cue the "signing of the offseason!" announcements.
(Just kidding, fellas.)

That's right - it could be worse - the REDS could have signed HSC.

I have yet to see any proof that enyone on this board has connections with inside info. I asked on here before if anyone with inside info was creditable ,there was no conformation, However there was some media types that had good info. Brooklyn Reds being one. Is there anyone else that has proved to have inside info?

There's the understatement of the year.
Hee-Seop Choi... Great pick up, D Rays....
Re: Hee-Seop Choi a Devil Ray
Sounds about right. The D-Rays always seem to be the last stop for struggling players. There are two places you go after you play with the Marlins. If you are good you go to top teams (Red Sox, Yanks) If your bad you go to the D-Rays.
I know it is not totally true. Its just what it seems like to me.
Why all the harsh words for TC? He just seems to be good guy who provides some info when he has some. Even if he was wrong about his scouting report, no scout is all knowing. Then something could always pop up that is unforeseen.
This board can be so moody sometimes. So many up and downs. Some days people are in love with a player/person and then others they hate that same player/person.
It's been said before... Chillax its just a game when it all comes down to it. Trust the people in place to do their jobs.

I didn't have any harsh words for TC or anyone else I just asked a question and as usual got no answer. I just wanted to know what to believe. No hate here.:luvu::luvu:
