Why do the Reds stink so bad at GABP?
Why do the Reds play so hum-drum at home? It's been that way for years.
Re: Why do the Reds stink so bad at GABP?
2006:
Home: 42-39
Away: 38-43
2005:
Home: 42-39
Away: 31-50
20 games better at home since they moved GABP.
Re: Why do the Reds stink so bad at GABP?
I wouldn't call playing 6 games over .500 @home in 2 years that great.

But it's not stinking, they stink on the road.

I would when you consider they are 24 under on the road.... thats a 30 game swing.

In 2007, the Reds are 6-8 at home and 7-8 on the road. I'd venture that this year's team "stinks" nearly as much on the road.

Actually, not. Playing around .500 on the road is ok. Last year, every division winner was more than 15 games over at home. You have to win big at home and the Reds don't.

if the Reds were actually a good team that would be true

Of course it's good when you expect mediocrity. Being 6 games over .500 @home isn't great. . .or in my opinion, good. It's mediocre. You should strive for .500 on the road and should strive to win 45-50 games at home every year.
I'm not sure about a lot of you, but playing .500 @home doesn't sit well with me.

That's what's up.
Re: Why do the Reds stink so bad at GABP?
It's probably my fault. I bought season tickets for the first time and we've sucked at home. Hey, it's as good a theory as any.

You completely missed my point. The point is that the Reds do play 'great' at home compared to what they play on the road. This team isnt the 27 Yankees, but when there is a 30 game difference in wins between your home and road record you surely are playing pretty well at home compared to on the road.
