Dunn And Griffey: A song parody
This is mostly September frustration speaking. And I don't buy into the laziness argument. Just lots of hopefully humorous exaggeration here.
(To the tune of "Love And Marriage" by Frank Sinatra}
Dunn and Griffey, Dunn and Griffey
One is gimpy and the other whiffy
This I tell you brother
Got to trade one or the other
Griff and Donkey, Griff and Donkey
One's a brother and one's a honky
But they're both great sluggers
And both lazy mother.....pluggers
Try, try, try some fundamentals
They say that's no fun
Try, try, try, they only want to hit
The freakin' home run
Ken and Adam, Ken and Adam
Peanut vendors if the Yankees had 'em
Ask your local Reds fan
They'd take Shemp & Moe instead, man
Dunn and Junior, Dunn and Junior
They're as solid as an old petunia
Swinging for the fences
Jacking up payroll expenses
Try, try, try to shorten their swings
Not gonna happen
Try, try, try to run the bases...whoops!
They caught 'em nappin'
Junior and Dunn, Junior and Dunn
The team is better if they only had one
Inconsistent lefty
With a contract that is hefty

You must send your efforts to Mr. Burbank, c/o 700 WLW.

Thanks! I checked out your website-- very impressive. Definitely feel free to record this, and alter it in any way you please.

I do buy into the laziness argument. All of this true to some extent and it makes this that much more funny. You are a freakin' genius.
Re: Dunn And Griffey: A song parody
Absolute Genius!
Rhyming Junior and Petunia alone takes a warped mind.
I know a lot of people don't like this type of thing, but yours are really good.
Re: Dunn And Griffey: A song parody
Wow! Thanks to everybody for the great comments.
