For those complaining about Samardzija keeping the Reds in check, please note that Jeff Suppan pitched 5 scoreless against the Brewers today. Jeff Suppan.

Rolen is hitting .178. It's not that early anymore.

Rolen is off the books at the end of the year right?

Late innings only. Heck, Votto is down to .282. No one is hitting consistently.

Votto
2301 career ab's

43% of the time, men on base
Bruce
1933 career ab's

45% of the time, men on base
Doesn't look like that much of a drop off to me and you'd almost HAVE to expect a smaller percentage to be on for the 8 hole hitter.
With such a dramatic drop off in DP's hit into, I'd say it's a safe bet that he wouldn't hit into more in the 4 hole.
