Re: Postseason Scoreboard Watching
LOL on that one. That catch was like what Harper does all the time. Werth less often and usually hurts himself when he does it.
Re: Postseason Scoreboard Watching
Werth brings back a HR, the Cards could be robbed of two HR and go to 2-0 in the playoffs, they rather get their runs handed to them anyway.

Always nice to hit the .236 lifetime minor league hitter with two outs

His strikeout totals his past 3 full seasons.
Bigger story around those #s. Was a disaster last year. Money this year. OBP. He's all about that. I'm not going to look up the OBP #s right now but that's where you'd see his value. Whether it's $126 million of value is a different question...and a fair debate.
Re: Postseason Scoreboard Watching
And that's why Shumacher doesn't get more playing time. Classic Stammen inning except for the HBP.

This little Nats catcher is impressing me...he's taking a beating back there and stopping everything.

They said that was the defensive play of the game about 3 guys after a HR was brought back in.

Everyone in OAK is po'ed about Suzuki. He's produced big in DC; didn't for OAK.
Announcers just called the Descalso play the "defensive play of the game." Huh? How about the Werth play 10 minutes ago?

I like Kozma. Reminds me a bit of Cozart. And his straight face when he told media he was camped under the ball vs ATL was way better than Golden Tate claiming he didn't know anything about pushing off.

It had to be the greatest defensive play of all time because the greatest player of all time was the hitter. Harper doesn't make outs, only great defensive plays stop him.
