He sure did unless his eye was swollen shut, many did not even wear helmets, they were not required until 1970 or 71, I'm pretty sure.
Of course a lot of players wore them way before.
Cozart was hit on the top part of his helmet, pretty much a glancing blow. Looked worse than it was and scared him more than anything, it's a very very loud sound. He's fine.
